What is the Legal Support Center?

The Wake County Legal Support Center, located across from the Civil Clerk of Court’s office in the Wake County courthouse, is a resource hub for self-represented litigants in Wake County.

To find the Legal Support Center enter from Fayetteville Street, go through security, and take the first left before you reach the elevators. The Center will be straight ahead.

If you enter from Salisbury Street, take the elevator up to the second floor, take a left off the elevators and take the last right before you reach security.

  • Tuesday – 9 am-1 pm
  • Wednesday – 8:30 am-3 pm
  • Thursday – 9 am-1 pm
  • Friday – 9 am-1 pm
  • Saturday – Closed
  • Sunday – Closed

The Legal Support Center follows the state holiday schedule.

How Can the Legal Support Center Help?

The Legal Support Center CAN:

- Tell you how court works
- Offer you forms to assist you with your case
- Provide lawyer referral information to you
- Refer you to other agencies or resources to assist you

The Legal Support Center CANNOT:

- Give you legal advice
- Represent you in court
- Fill out the forms for you
- Tell you what to say or write
- Guarantee confidentiality
